Jim Schleutker
Golf Course Superintendent
Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. Graduated from Westerville South High School where he was on the golf & swim teams as well as actively involved with the National Future Farmers of America (FFA). Following High School Jim served in the U.S. Navy Seventh Fleet aboard the U.S.S. Ranger. After his service in the Navy he attended Ohio State University where he graduated in Agronomy.
Jim began his career as an assistant superintendent at the Innisbrook Resort in Tarpon Springs, Florida. While there the Resort hosted the J.C. Penny Classic two consecutive seasons and their Cooperhead course was shown on ABC Sports. Then Jim moved on to Dayton Beach where he worked at the Spruce Creek Country Club for 4½ years followed by one year at the La Cita Country Club in Titusville, Florida. Before coming to the Vineyards Country Club in September 2004; Jim spent 5 years at the Vero Beach Country Club, earning the titles of Certified Professional Agronomist and Certified Golf Course Superintendent.
In his spare time Jim enjoys; model railroading, sailing, helping with the Boy Scouts of America and is working towards his Masters Degree in Environmental Science. Family includes wife Dee-Anne, son Brandon and daughter Allison.
